The Joy in the Journey

All of Creation

My friends and family say they live vicariously through my travels, and they are always hungry to hear about my latest adventure. It makes for great conversation, and inevitably, there are always fascinating stories to tell.  But the pure, unadulterated truth is this:  the most significant voyage I’ve taken has not been a geographical destination, but rather, a journey of the spirit.

We are all on a quest, searching for purpose and meaning in our lives.  We want acceptance and love, truth and fulfillment.  We look for it in relationships, in our jobs and positions.  But people disappoint us, and promises are broken.  The economy fluctuates, biodiversity is at risk, and disease is too often an unwelcome and uninvited guest.

So what in this life can we count on?  And where can we go to find it?

When I travel, I take my eyes off of myself and focus on the magnificence and the magnitude of our wonderful planet.  m akes  I see the mighty hand of God at work.

Wherever I go, and in whatever I do, the

My joy comes from the One who does not change, does not break His promises,  who supplies my every need, and blesses me daily.

Wherever your journeys take you, whether metaphorical or literal, it is my hope that you will see the beauty and the love of in all of creation, and in all things.

“Let the heavens and the earth praise Him, the seas, and all that moves therein.”  Psalm 69:34
